Traffic restrictions on city streets from July 10 to July 19, 2026

Dear residents and visitors of the city of Suzdal!

From July 10 to July 19, the Second Denis Matsuev Summer Festival in Suzdal will take place across the city. Festival events will be held at three venues: on July 10–11 at the Spartak City Stadium; from July 12–19 on the grounds of the Suzdal Kremlin; and from July 16–18 at Suzdal Zaryadye (on the western side of the Trading Rows).

In accordance with Order No. 40-r of the Suzdal City Administration dated July 1, 2026, "On Ensuring Public Safety During the Second Denis Matsuev Summer Festival in Suzdal," temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced for the duration of the festival events.

From 10:00 a.m. on July 10, 2026, until 12:00 a.m. on July 11, 2026, vehicle traffic will be closed on Gasteva Street from the intersection of Gasteva Street and Krupskaya Street to the Alexander Monastery, and on Engels Street from the intersection of Engels Street and Gasteva Street to the intersection of Engels Street and Lenin Street.

During the same period, the section of Lenin Street from the intersection with Neteka Street to the intersection with Engels Street will also be closed to traffic. A detour will be available via Neteka Street and Krupskaya Street.

From 10:00 a.m. on July 10, 2026, until 12:00 a.m. on July 11, 2026, one-way traffic will be introduced on the following streets:
- Neteka Street, from Lenin Street toward Sadovaya Street;
- Lenin Street, from Engels Street toward Ivanovskaya Zastava;
- Engels Street, from Sadovaya Street toward Lenin Street.

From 12:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, until 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, vehicle traffic will be closed on Lenin Street from the intersection with Vinogradova Street to the intersection with Neteka Street. A detour will be available via the city's eastern and western bypass roads, as well as Vinogradova Street, Kalinina Street, Engels Street, Neteka Street, Krupskaya Street, and Pushkarskaya Street.

Vasilyevskaya Street will be closed from 12:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, until 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, from the intersection with Torgovaya Ploshchad Street to the intersection with Lenin Street. A detour will be available via Torgovaya Ploshchad Street, Sadovaya Street, Engels Street, Kalinina Street, and Vinogradova Street.

From 12:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, until 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, vehicle traffic will be closed on Varganova Street, Kremlyovskaya Street, and Lebedeva Street.

Vehicle traffic will be restricted from 6:00 a.m. on July 16, 2026, until 12:00 a.m. on July 19, 2026, on Staraya Street and Teremki Street (Teremki Street will be closed to through traffic). Access will be available via Staraya Street.

The traffic restrictions will apply to all types of vehicles, except for emergency vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), emergency services, medical services, residents living or owning property within the restricted areas, as well as visitors arriving for accommodation in hotels and guest houses.

The Suzdal City Administration recommends that all businesses, organizations, and institutions operating within the restricted traffic zone prepare for their operations in advance. Delivery of food and goods, waste collection, and sewage pumping should be completed no later than 12:00 p.m. on the days of the road closures. Employees are also encouraged to use the city's public parking facilities for their personal vehicles.

From 12:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, until 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, owners and operators of horse-drawn carriages and horseback riding services are prohibited from entering the restricted areas on Lenin Street, Vasilyevskaya Street (from its intersection with Lenin Street to its intersection with Torgovaya Ploshchad Street), as well as Varganova Street, Kremlevskaya Street, and Lebedeva Street.

Parking areas for horse-drawn carriages, riding horses, and ponies are designated in accordance with Clause 1.6 of Resolution No. 58 of the Council of People's Deputies dated September 20, 2022, "On Approval of the Rules for the Use of Horse-Drawn Transport, Horses (Ponies), and Other Draft or Riding Animals in Public Areas of the City of Suzdal," as well as along one lane of Lenin Street between buildings No. 81 and No. 89. The approved travel route is the section of Lenin Street from its intersection with Engels Street toward Ivanovskaya Zastava.

City public transport will operate on special routes adjusted to the temporary road closures.

On July 17 and 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., up to two vehicles from each wedding procession will be permitted to access the Suzdal Registry Office.

We kindly ask all road users to remain attentive, observe traffic regulations and speed limits, and comply with all temporary traffic restrictions introduced during the road closure period in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Suzdal District.

Private vehicles may be parked in the city's paid parking areas and public parking lots, the locations of which are indicated on the map below.
